I take a great deal of pride in the installation part of each project whether it be my cabinets or someone else’s. Yes a large part of my business is installing cabinets for other retailers. Often people don't realize that there is a big difference in an average installation done by say a trim carpenter or builder and a quality installation done by a cabinetmaker.

Cabinet Construction Knowledge
I make cabinets, therefore I understand their "make up" better, I know their strengths and I know their weaknesses.

Experience
I have probably installed more cabinets. Every job is a little bit different, and therefore you learn something on every job, little tricks. Over the years I have learned hundreds of these little tricks. I can’t emphasize the importance of experience enough, many people don’t realize how often inexperienced installers make wrong measurements that lead to wrong cuts and that they often expect the homeowner to pay for a new cabinet. I rarely make these kinds of mistakes, and when I do I take responsibility for it and make it right.

“Thinking outside the box”

I do things that other people don't even attempt. For example, most builders are amazed to see me install crown moulding without a nail gun. Personally there is nothing I hate more than to see a beautiful piece of prefinished wood with a bunch of nails shot through it and then putty that never matches trying to cover it up. I can almost always find a way to screw crown moulding in from the back so as to eliminate this altogether.

Specialty Tools and Supplies
I have tools that others typically don’t have. Many builders are amazed when they see the specialty tools I carry on my truck. I have special screws that you can’t even buy locally. My saws have very expensive, very sharp blades that make cleaner cuts because they weren’t used the day before to build someone’s deck.

Woodworking Ability
Although it is not needed on every job, I do have the ability to repair, alter, or modify cabinets if need be. So whether you are buying cabinets from me or you have already purchased cabinets from someone else, don’t underestimate the importance of a quality installation.
